摘要: Acoustic Emission (AE) technique is non-destructive Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) which has the potential to detect internal damages in real time. Literature reveals that researchers have used three-dimensional (3d) Finite Element Method (FEM) predict AE waveforms isotropic and single-layer anisotropic plates. However, study acoustic emission using FEM layered composites sandwich plates limited literature. Modelling of such challenging as material properties may vary from one layer another across plate thickness. In this study, an effort been made for two-dimensional finite element modelling predicting a generalised refined theory modelling. Numerical examples are first solved validated with results obtained 3d FEM. New presented multilayered
