摘要: Summary. 1. P.spwnarius nymphs selected young, upper leaves of Xanthium strumarium plants, which have a relatively high amino acid concentration in the xylem sap. 2. Nymphs or rejected host leaf as feeding site after test ingestion plant sap. 3. fed on detached kept with their petioles solution acids, preference to containing no acids. 4. caged concentrations sap suffered lower mortality 7 days than low sap. 5. Mean excretory rate increased increase for third and fourth instar nymphs, adults, but not fifth instars.
