摘要: Background and Objective: Little is known about cervical cancer (CC) in the Democratic People’sRepublic of Korea (DPRK). This study examines knowledge, attitudes practices (KAP) concerning CC screening among female health care practitioners (HCPs), whether differences exist between rural urban HCPs. Method: In a descriptive cross-sectional study, purposive sample 200 women HCPs from 128 centers 6 provinces DPRK was interviewed using standardized questionnaire. Results: 98% were aware CC. Awareness national policy significantly lower (44%) than (62%) respondents (p<0.05). Fewer (71%) (89%) knew cytology Around 30% association human papillomavirus infection. Only 13% had ever smear. 4% 21% (p<0.05) provided cytology; all used unaided visual inspection cervix without staining to determine testing indicated. For all, intervals depended on presence symptoms. Conclusion: Misconceptions ineffective clinical regarding need be urgently addressed both There are no major their KAP.
