Temperature dependence of nonlinear susceptibilities near ferroelectric phase transition of a lead germanate single crystal

摘要: The results of measurements the linear and nonlinear dielectric susceptibilities a lead germanate, Pb5Ge3O11, single crystal are presented. change in sign third-order susceptibility χ3 as predicted by thermodynamic theory continuous phase transitions is confirmed experimentally. Both temperature independence, within range T⩽TC+8K above transition point, nonlinearity coefficient B confirm that germanate belongs to Landau universality class.
