摘要: The exit from mitosis is the last critical decision during a cell-division cycle. A complex regulatory system has evolved to evaluate success of mitotic events and control this decision. Whereas outstanding genetic work in yeast led rapid discovery large number interacting genes involved exit, it also become increasingly difficult comprehend logic mechanistic features embedded molecular network. Our view that difficulty stems part attempt explain mitotic-exit using concepts traditional top-down engineering design, exciting new results evolutionary design applied networks electronic circuits may lend better insights. We focus on four particularly intriguing examine these perspective engineering.
