摘要: Cardiac tamponade is a life-threatening condition. Accurate diagnosis and prompt intervention are necessary to prevent adverse outcomes. Clinical features of such as pulsus paradoxus, tachycardia, elevated jugular venous pressure, hypotension important clues the diagnosis, but non-specific. Echocardiography allows rapid confirmation presence or absence an effusion, enables assessment its hemodynamic impact. Decisions regarding treatment must take into account clinical presentation echocardiographic findings. Echocardiographically-guided pericardiocentesis with catheter drainage primary strategy choice for most large hemodynamically significant effusions. In contemporary practice, echocardiography gold standard essential directing treatment.
