Bisectors and alpha-Sectors of Rational Varieties

摘要: The bisector of two rational varieties in ℝd is, general, non-rational. However, there are some cases which such bisectors rational; we review them, mostly ℝ2 and ℝ3. We also describe the a-sector, a generalization bisector, consider few interesting where α-sectors become quadratic curves or surfaces. Exact non-rational even special configurations rational. This suggests pseudo α-sector approximates with variety. Both exact a-sectors identify when α = 1/2.
