摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide alternative compositions and methods for increasing red blood cell levels in patients.SOLUTION: The disclosure provides using activin-ActRII antagonists (including, example, activin-binding ActRIIa polypeptides, ActRIIb anti-activin antibodies, anti-ActRIIa anti-ActRIIb activin-, ActRIIb-, or ActRIIa-targeted small molecules aptamers, nucleic acids that decrease expression of activin, ActRIIb, ActRIIa) to increase hemoglobin patients treat disorders associated with low need thereof.
