摘要: Al-Majlis is the living space in residential buildings of Arabian Gulf, and where occupants spend most their time. For this reason, human thermal comfort extreme importance often compromised due to hot outdoor weather conditions. In contrast with many discomfort mitigation methods environments, which become unadvisable indoor spaces, study investigates effect adding PCM-enhanced tiles portions envelope on occupant’s cooling energy demand. A simulation model a tight building Qatar was developed EnergyPlus without addition tiles. The selected country representative location Gulf. Considering different positions, PCM back found moderate mean radiant temperature, operative Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) Percentage Dissatisfied (PPD), all signify an improvement comfort. Lastly, change save 3.3% daily demand during one harsh summer day.
