摘要: The treatment and prevention of infectious diseases is a major part both clinical investigative medicine. As the use conventional antibiotics rises, antimicrobial resistance patterns develop, necessitating continuous need for newer more effective therapies. Nanotechnology, defined as production application materials in nanoscale range (1-100nm), has been focus several investigations result unique physical chemical properties nanomaterials. . Specifically, nanomaterials provide added benefits due to their small size; allowing an increased ability surpass most physiologic barriers reach intended targets, high surface area-to-volume ratio, potential interact with pathogen membranes cell walls. This review focuses therapeutic preventative applications nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems disease.
