摘要: The paper demonstrates the actual level of chromium contamination at the site old tannery waste lagoon in Serniki community (SE Poland). Despite fact that since 1994 this area is not exploited, presence still detected soil, water and plants. current study 4th phase (after 1989, 2001 2004) checking controlling chromium concentration territory. content was assessed after soil and plant mineralization using FAAS method. Total concentrations in soil samples reached values 2.25 - 18.25 mg·kg-1 dry mass. Levels of chromium ranged between 0.008 0.017 mg·dm-3 for Wieprz River trough, situated centre, respectively. Absorption by plants depended from species. highest Cr in the stalks Oenothera biennis, whilst lowest Phragmites australis were detected. Finally, it assumed soil noted in 2009 42% 83% lower relation to data 2004. Consequently, nowadays site not so threat health local residents to the surrounding ecosystem.
