摘要: Interleukin-1 (IL-1) is a cytokine that has been implicated in the pathogenesis of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases (1). IL-1 two isoforms, IL-1α IL-1β which predominant form released by human monocytes culture. synthesized as 31-kDa precursor devoid conventional signal sequence processed to its active 17-kDa an enzyme called converting (ICE) unique cleavage specificity for Asp-X (2–4). The purification cloning this have described (5,6). ICE primarily inactive 45-kDa auto-processed 20- 10-kDa subunits. crystal structure reveals composed 20-kDa subunits tetramer (7,8).
