Business Constraints and Potential Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises in Tanzania: A Review

摘要: The potential growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) elsewhere in the world including Tanzania depends on conducive business environment. However, SMEs are confronted with a number constraints which hamper their growth. This paper aims at assessing that affect Tanzania. Variables such as inadequate training, insufficient capital, competition, ant-entrepreneurial culture, bureaucratic procedures registration, high taxes, technological barrier/backwardness, theft/cheating lack trust, poor infrastructure, corruption were measured. Quantitative approach was used this study. An intensive literature review conducted to find out relationship between variables. Frequency percentage computed results findings show capital anti-entrepreneurial culture significant constraints. study recommends strategic training programmes need be designed implemented order provide adequate entrepreneurial knowledge, skills attitude.
