摘要: Abstract The Yushu fault is a mainly left-lateral strike slip with some normal component within the Ganzi-Yushu system in central-eastern Tibetan Plateau. In 2010, catastrophic Ms 7.1 earthquake occurred along this fault, causing approximately 3000 casualties and widespread damages; however, late Quaternary rate of was not tightly constrained due to poor research. Based on interpretation satellite images, field measurement offset terrace risers, optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) radiocarbon (14C) dating ages, east segment estimated be 6.8–8.2 mm/yr. consideration partitioning effect Batang south Yushu, entire 9–12 mm/yr. Given characteristic about 6–8 m, recurrence interval large earthquakes 750–1150 yr. This research provides basic parameters for long-term seismic hazards assessment area implies limited southeastward extrusion (~10 mm/yr) Qiangtang block relative Bayan Har block.
