摘要: We evaluated the prevalence of WNV and SLEV neutralizing antibodies in captive free-ranging raptors from Argentina by plaque-reduction neutralization test. Eighty plasma samples 12 species were analyzed. Only one adult Crowned Eagle (Harpyhaliaetus coronatus) was seropositive (prevalence: 1.25%; antibody titer 1:80). Two Eagles 2.50%; titers: 1:80 1:40).These findings expand geographic distribution confirm their activity central northeastern Argentina. West Nile virus may represent a potential threat to other endangered this country.
