Lattice percolation approach to numerical modelling of tissue aging

摘要: We describe a percolation-type approach to modelling of the processes aging and certain other properties tissues analysed as systems consisting interacting cells. Tissues are considered structures made regular healthy, senescent, dead apoptotic cells, studied dynamically with ongoing including cell division fill vacant sites left by healthy cells becoming senescent or dying, processes. Statistical-mechanics description can provide patterns time dependence snapshots morphological system properties. An illustrative application developed theoretical is reported, confirming recent experimental findings that inhibition senescence lead extended lifespan.
