摘要: Nectar robbery is common in flowering plants with tubular corollas and can affect plant reproductive success. Our study characterized the interaction between potential pollinators nectar robbers, assessed effects on flower abortion a population of restricted endemic Collaea cipoensis (Fabaceae) at Serra do Cipo, Brazil. We conducted observations floral visitors to identify from robbers described visitor behavior. also analyzed frequency its relationship visitation. Trigona spinipes Apis mellifera were identified as main two humming bird species Colibri serrirostris Eupetomena macroura , pollinators. Overall, 570 sampled flowers presented robber damage while 716 intact. Intact received more visits than damage. Mean ratio did not vary damaged intact flowers. Accordingly, survey developed fruits indicated that 86% came results suggest by C. could success this species, interfering fruit production.
