摘要: Restricted and repetitive behaviors are a core feature of autism spectrum disorder; however, research on the functional impact these quality life for individuals with disorder their families remains scarce. We conducted focus groups parents children clinicians in order to better characterize behavioral inflexibility, which represents one potential dimensional construct that could account breadth comprising restricted behavior domain. Transcripts were analyzed using qualitative analysis coding methods determine parent clinician beliefs range issues related inflexibility including overall impact, types child behaviors, strategies managing inflexibility. Thematic revealed view as an important impacts multiple areas functioning, relates other well social communication warrants targeted treatment.
