摘要: Using hydrodensitometry, dual energy x-ray absorptiometry, and deuterium dilution techniques, multiple compartment body composition assessment was performed on 29 adult Chinese-American men (n = 11) women 18). The purpose of the investigation to determine if significant differences exist in estimation percentage fat (%BF) fat-free mass (FFM), based 2-, 3-, 4-compartment models composition. Height, weight, index (BMI) for were 170 cm, 63 kg, 22 kg/m2 ; women, values 161 59 23 , respectively. Estimated %BF from density alone adjusted TBW not significantly different either or (20.5% vs. 18.8%) (28.2% 27.4%). However, estimated model density, BMC resulted lower both groups, 17.5% 26.8% women. lack a difference between only indicates that within accepted constancy value associated with hydrodensitometry. When variation BMC, decline occurred estimate men, but average FFM ratio 0.75., 0.74, 0.73 when using models, two-, three-, four-compartment estimates 0.054, 0.053, 0.052 0.060, 0.059, 0.059 results suggest have similar TBW/FFM ratios, BMC/FFM is higher than men.
