Numerical simulation of natural convection in three-dimensional cavities with a high vertical aspect ratio and a low horizontal aspect ratio

摘要: In this article a commercial computational fluid dynamic program is used to study the effect of horizontal aspect ratio on heat flow through cavities with high vertical (cavities typically found in window frames internal cavities). The studied have two opposite isothermal walls separated by four adiabatic walls. ratios are 20, 40, and 80 range from 0.2 5. Simulations two-dimensional also included. simulations show that three-dimensional larger than five can be considered as being within 4% when considering transfer rates. Nusselt number correlations for different Complex multicellular presented one cavities.
