摘要: The effects of excited state relaxation and dephasing upon resonance Raman scattering from a molecule in the condensed phase are considered perspective simple event model, weak field limit. model contains minimum interactions necessary to produce monochromatically resonant light (MERLS). Emphasis is placed on how different processes determine coherence properties MERLS, localized electronic states perturbed by environment. We consider MERLS can be used probe line broadening mechanisms vibronic absorption bands associated phonon side bands. A comparison made between observed time dependent coherent spectroscopic techniques (e.g., photon echoes) those detectable spectral analysis MERLS.
