Changes in surface and catalytic properties of the system induced by doping with MgO

摘要: Abstract Pure alumina and MgO-predoped aluminas were impregnated with copper nitrate to contain approximately 20 wt% CuO. The structural properties investigated using DTA XRD techniques the textural determined from low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen. Acidic studied chemisorption pyridine catalytic by following cracking cumene, isomerisation o -xylene dehydrogenation cyclohexane. With increase extent doping MgO, amount CuO existing as a separate phase increases. Significant changes in surface area pore dimension observed due impregnation and/or doping. acidity decreases MgO content this was associated decrease activity towards cumene isomerisation. Dehydrogenation cyclohexane increases which results an phase.
