摘要: Historically plant pathogenic species of Mycosphaerella have been regarded as host-specific, though this hypothesys has proven difficult to test largely due the inavailability fungal cultures. During course past 20 years a concerted effort made collect these fungi, and devise methods cultivate them. Based on subsequent DNA sequence analyses majority were revealed be some not, suggesting that no general rule can applied. Furthermore, analysis recent molecular data poly- paraphyletic. Teleomorph morphology was shown too narrowly defined in cases, again widely others. Teratosphaeria presently circumscribed represent numerous different genera, many which recognised based their 30 odd associated anamorph genera. Although is generally accepted one largest genera ascomycetous suggest incorrect, should restricted taxa linked Ramularia anamorphs. other form with Mycosphaerella-like teleomorphs appear own right.
