摘要: A longitudinal epidemiologic study has been conducted to estimate the incidence and prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis in an American Indian population, Pima Papago Indians Arizona. Clinical, serologic, radiologic data were collected during biennial examinations subjects aged 20 years or more period 1967-1986. Rheumatoid was diagnosed by criteria for active inactive disease. Age-adjusted 1980 US population at least age, classical definite 1984 5.3% (3.23% males 6.95% females), a rate appreciably higher than that reported studies Rochester, Minnesota, Hiroshima Nagasaki, Japan. Among Pimas, period, 70 incident cases occurred. The age-adjusted 42.2 per 10,000 person-years (29.7 51.8 10.3 times as high Rochester (4.1/10,000 person-years), 5.7 Japan (7.4/10,000 person-years).
