摘要: Methods provide Pseudo-Wire (PW) peer address discovery in a network environment. More particularly, methods are provided for PW peers to exchange information order support service over Ethernet-based networks. When recognizes that no MAC addresses associated with the far end of known (204), an request packet is prepared and broadcast from each (206). Address response packets generated by its addresses, unicast which was sent (208). In further aspect present invention, at nodes having two or more (M1,M2), one designated as primary (M2) based upon value local identifier, protocol address.
