摘要: Purpose: Employing non‐toxic radiosensitizing gold nanoparticles (GNPs) targeted to disease endothelial cells has been proposed as a new strategy substantially enhance radiotherapy treatment efficacy for neovascular Age‐related Macular Degeneration (AMD). In this work, radiation dose enhancement from GNPs and carboplatin (CNPs), which have recently shown provide chemotherapy effect retinal disease, is also investigated towards of retinoblastoma (RB) choroidal melanoma (CM). Methods: The cell (EC) was modeled in previous studies with the (NPs) attached exterior EC. energy deposited EC nucleus by radiation‐induced electrons CNPs calculated based on an analytic formula incorporating electron energy‐loss Cole. factor (nDEF) representing ratio without presence NPs estimated. nDEF using 100 kVp photons employed Oraya Therapy treating AMD and, I‐125 Pd‐103 sources RB CM. Local concentrations 1 – 38 mg/g were used, reported safe small animal model studies. Results: results revealed values 1.30 11.66 over concentration range 1–38 photons. Meanwhile, up 18.7 14.8 obtained when respectively. Significant observed range. Conclusion: predict that substantial may be achieved employing or adjuvants diseases like, impetus developing application such boost effectiveness treated radiotherapy.
