摘要: This paper investigates how different sustainability criteria restrict the supply of cropped biomass sources within EU. There are already mandatory formulated in Renewable Energy Directive (RED) at EU level for feedstocks to be used conversion into biofuels. For solid and gaseous feedstock, however, there only recommendations by European Commission (EC) adopted on a voluntary basis member states (MS). specifically focuses potential from crops all bioenergy sectors when applying stricter criteria. These relate greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation targets, including indirect land-use change (iLUC) related GHG emissions, introduction no-go areas, such as areas high biodiversity value carbon stock. The results show that indeed reduce cropping crop mix significantly, rotational arable biofuels do no longer comply with is because they usually compete food feed higher quality land requiring compensation iLUC emissions. can applied successfully if accompanied demand, particular lignocellulosic advanced other uses. Without stimulation pathways, it will difficult realize improved bio-energy sector.
