摘要: We have developed a natural language processing system for extracting and coding clinical data from free text reports. The is designed to be easily modified adapted variety of reports such as admission notes, radiology pathology reports, discharge summaries. This report presents the results this extract code concepts related congestive heart failure 39,000 chest detects presence or absence six concepts: failure, Kerley B lines, cardiomegaly, prominent pulmonary vasculature, edema, pleural effusion. compared it's output gold standard which consisted specially trained human coders well an experienced physician. Results indicate that had high specificity, recall precision each it detect.
