摘要: Digital multispectral imagery is a data collection technique that provides digital frame coverage in four spectral bands for color infrared imaging, allowing the detection of soils, vegetation, water bodies, chemically contaminated areas, and various other resources. It anticipated using technology wetlands will aid Virginia Department Transportation's (VDOT's) Environmental Division meeting increasingly stringent monitoring requirements placed on it by state federal regulatory agencies. Previous research conducted Transportation Research Council Commonwealth University concluded was technically feasible significantly less expensive than traditional field methods. The primary objective this to VDOT implementing acquire some vegetation required its wetland mitigation program determining accuracy collected with comparing manually field. This done hopes convincing agencies means could replace information currently manually. Multispectral at resolution 1 m found be capable identifying major plant communities sites an approximately 80%. Thus, can provide more complete random sampling alone. In addition, decreased labor needs costs associated collect as compared methods make effective tool composition sites.
