摘要: Classification of the Amoebidiales (Tricho- mycetes, Zygomycota) within Fungi is problem- atical because their cell walls apparently lack chitin and they produce amoeboid cells during life cycle. A nearly full length fragment nuclear small subunit (SSU) rRNA Amoebidium parasiticum was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) sequenced to examine its phylogenetic relationships. Results a BlastN search GenBank revealed that A. SSU sequence most closely related Ichthyophonus hof- eri, an ichthyosporean in Protozoa near ani- mal-fungal divergence. Maximum parsimony analysis fungal sequences, using sequences choanoflagellates root 18S rDNA gene trees, resolved as strongly sup- ported sister I. hoferi Ichthyophonida clade protozoan class Ichthyosporea. In con- trast other members this class, which are mostly obligate or facultative parasites various animals, only known be arthropodophilous symbionts. The results also provide first evidence mito- chondrial cristae types exhibit homoplastic distribu- tions
