摘要: In this work, the degradation of pharmaceutical losartan, in simulated fresh urine (which was considered because is main excretion route for compound) by sonochemistry and UVC/H2O2 individually, studied. Initially, special attention paid to degrading action processes. Then, theoretical analyses on Fukui function indices, determine electron-rich regions susceptible attacks hydroxyl radical, were performed. Afterward, ability processes mineralize losartan remove phyto-toxicity tested. It found that sonochemical treatment, radicals played role. turn, UVC/H2O2, both light radical eliminated target contaminant. The system showed lowest interference elimination urine. established atoms imidazole contaminant moieties most prone primary transformations radicals. This coincident with initial products coming from action. Although exhibited low mineralizing toward treatment converted into nonphytotoxic products. research presents relevant results a representative two advanced oxidation
