摘要: By coating a fluorocarbon monolayer on bundled Si nanorod array substrate, superhydrophobic surface with contact angle ∼167° and sliding ∼2° is created due to the nanocarpet effect. Without forming nanocarpet, we can only obtain moderately hydrophobic 17°. Comparison between nanocarpets formed from nanorods low high densities confirms that main reason for superhydrophobicity formation of sharp pyramidal bundles, which effectively reduces area solid−liquid contact. Video recording analysis millimeter-sized water droplets bouncing solid are used ascertain superhydrophobicity, energy dissipation during speed impact estimated be several nanojoules.
