摘要: Background Hypertrophic olivary degeneration (HOD) is a rare phenomenon in the dento-rubro-olivary pathway caused by lesion or disruption of fibers Guillain-Mollaret triangle. Hemorrhage pontine and midbrain cavernous angiomas can rarely lead to HOD portending neurologic deterioration possible concomitant life-threatening complications; for this reason, it may define poignant consideration planning intervention. Case Description The patient was 57-year-old woman with known midbrain-pontine angioma. For several years, had been stable, as shown imaging follow-up, until 10 months before presented falls, dysarthria, headache. Imaging showed some decrease size well blood product around angioma, suggesting interim period hemorrhage interval development HOD. Conclusions literature regarding recommendations stable angioma junction reviewed. implication outcome discussed comment made on how affect management
