摘要: Abstract Lobelia glaberrima is a newly described species from mountainous parts of the southern South Island New Zealand. The morphology L. most similar to macrodon, but it distinguished that by suite mainly floral characters. These include having narrower calyx lobes, corolla with shorter tube and smaller stamens anthers, ovary style, weakly pungent scent. Chloroplast DNA evidence indicates closely related linnaeoides. However, differs peduncles, wider an indehiscent globose capsule. chromosome number 2n = 28, this also distinguishes linnaeoides macrodon #OP2n 14).
