摘要: The study employed an innovative exercise-based instrument to identify individuals at risk for eating disorder (ED). Exercise Orientation Questionnaire (EOQ), a reliable and valid instrument, was used compare 80 ED patients, 74 obese 99 elite runners, 214 controls from previous study. Runners resembled patients in scoring high on total EOQ exercise intensity but differed that the athletes scored low self-loathing (SLSS), sub-scale of EOQ. SLSS scores clearly distinguished clinical (ED, obese) non-clinical groups, while other sub-scales (self-control, weight loss, identity) did not. suggests it is feasible detect through assessment attitudes behaviors. subscale can differentiate groups anorexic healthy with body mass index within range. could provide theoretical bridge between compulsive athleticism ED.
