摘要: Abstract The effects of starvation on the metabolism l -thyroxine (T 4 ), 3,5,3′-triiodo- -thyronine 3 ) and deiodination T to were studied in 1-year-old brook trout by comparing 125 I-T ( ∗ I − I) that fed [0.56% body wt/day; dry wt food (g)/wet fish (g)] or starved for 12 days before radioisotope injection into circulation. Water temperature ranged from 11.4 12.5° maintained a 12L:12D photperiod regime. In both was cleared less rapidly than plasma contrast did not undergo deiodination. Starvation decreased clearance , I, reduced biliary-faecal excretion depressed monodeiodination lowered degradation rate. Within 40 min feeding previously trout, significant increase observed. It is concluded inhibition induced removed following ingestion food.
