摘要: Abstract : We compared the response properties of single units to tones and sinusoidally rippled spectral stimuli in primary auditory cortex (Al) barbiturate-anesthetized ferret. Using two-tone stimuli, we determined area each cell parameterized it terms best frequency (BF), bandwidth excitatory responses at 20dB above threshold (BW20), an asymmetry index measuring balance inhibition excitation around BF. frequency-modulated (FM) tones, also a directional sensitivity for cell. broadband (1-20 kHz) with modulated envelopes (ripples), measured magnitude as function ripple (omega) phase (phi), then reconstructed transfer function. Most cells (approximately 90%) were tuned specific frequency, denoted characteristic (omegao) exhibited linear omega.
