摘要: The aim of the SOFT project is to develop a new ocean forecasting system by using combination satellite dat, evolutionary programming and numerical models. To achieve this objective two steps are proved: (1) obtain an accurate genetic algorithms based on data; (2) integrate above into existing deterministic Evolutionary will be employed build 'intelligent' systems that, learning form past variability considering present state, able infer near future conditions. Validation forecast skill carried out comparing forecasts fields with in situ observations. observations provide expected errors system. data indicate capabilities information improve performance This later validation accomplished measurements specific oceanographic area at different periods time. first set feed hybrid while second used validate traditional model results.© (2002) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
