摘要: Abstract The spatial resolution of remote sensing instruments installed onboard satellites is one the key factors for accurate estimations cloud amount. In general terms, larger instantaneous field view (IFOV), greater overestimation amount – assuming that data are collected with exactly same methodology, and processed algorithms. While most meteorological imagers collect at a 1 km, Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) offers estimates both 1 km (the standard product) 250 m (additional, high-resolution products). However, these datasets produced using different methodological approaches, which impacts quality reliability product. This study compared over elevated terrain complex orography. Results showed significant discrepancies between datasets, reporting mean seasonal (June–August) 15.8% lower, than dataset. was not related to presence snow, or increased mask. On other hand, described similar variability in monthly (correlation coefficients 0.85–0.98, p
