摘要: Mucin-type core 1-derived O-glycans, one of the major types are highly expressed in mammary gland epithelium. Abnormal O-glycans such as Tn antigen found over 90% breast cancers; however, vivo role these aberrant etiology cancer is unclear. We generated mice with epithelial specific deletion O-glycans. By crossing two spontaneous mouse models, we determined that loss delays onset and progression development. Deficiency 1 O-glycosylation impaired localization Muc1, a O-glycoprotein, on apical surfaces Signaling mediated by which critical for development, was also defective absence This study reveals an unexpected development mice.
