摘要: The publication frequency characteristics of 1984 Journal Pharmaceutical Sciences reviewers were investigated to provide a perspective on the state pharmaceutical literature, its dynamics and some features. average number per capita total publications in was 3.56, with 26.9% not publishing at all during year. first-authorship our survey 1.17; percentage paper as senior author increased 50.4%. so-called elite group scientists--that is, top scientists who publish 50% papers--consisted 12.8% 11.7% sample for senior-authored papers, respectively. Waring distributions shown adequately characterize data. conceptual scheme leading distribution assumes three fundamental characteristics: (1) "self-reproducing" property, viz., rate new entrants (potential scientists) is proportional community size; (2) "cumulative advantage" or "success breeds success" more highly published scientists; are likely their next article than less-published (3) uniform "leakage" scientists, regardless rates, have equal likelihood dropping out community.
