摘要: One of the most critical aspects nuclear waste management is extrapolation materials and systems behavior from short term experiments, typically on order one year, over comparatively very long periods time. Safety risk analyses have to rely extrapolations respective findings be evaluated in frame licensing procedures. In this unique situation, any source information that can lend support credibility predicted behavior, should exploited investigated with great care. There are natural systems, e.g. Oklo “reactor”, which provide evidence radionuclide migration time thus help answer specific questions interest. Natural glasses minerals serve as analogues for both glass crystalline forms, alteration studied infer man-made products geologic environments. This paper reviews work performed by authors their collegues field together available literature dicusses extent used validate or verify predictions.
