摘要: The transmission of zoonotic filarial parasites by black flies has so far been reported in the Chiang Mai and Tak provinces, Thailand, bites these infected can cause a rare disease—human onchocerciasis. However, species identification their fly vectors province were previously only based on morphotaxonomic analysis. In this study, combined approach molecular analyses (mitochondrial cox1, 12S rRNA, nuclear 18S rRNA (SSU HVR-I) genes) was used to clarify natural infections female collected using human swine baits from two study areas (Ban Lek Ban Pang Dang) March 2018 January 2019. A total 805 4597 adult females, belonging seven nine taxa, Dang, respectively. At Lek, four 309 females Simulium nigrogilvum positive for Onchocerca type I hot rainy seasons. five unknown larvae (belonging same new species) detected sp. S. varicorne species-group three asakoae all seasons, non-filarial different taxa also found species-group. This is first molecularly identify vector Thailand.
