摘要: The response of municipal solid-waste landfills at high levels earthquake shaking is explored. Results from fully nonlinear dynamic analyses indicate that the seismic a landfill, particularly loading for cover, can vary significantly due to reasonable variations waste properties, fill heights, site conditions, and design rock motions. However, base sliding case, maximum depends primarily on amplitude (peak acceleration) frequency content (mean period) motion characteristics landfill represented by its initial fundamental period. calculated permanent displacement largely function k{sub y}/k{sub max} ratio, but it also influenced intensity, content, duration foundation. Charts with normalized parameters are presented, which aid in development preliminary estimates expected displacement. These analytical results consistent observations available case records.
