摘要: The present situation regarding pork production and its potential effect on human enteric illness in Denmark, the Netherlands, Taiwan, United States, Canada are discussed. Among these countries, Netherlands has highest hog density, followed by North Carolina (U.S.), Quebec (Canada). Denmark per capita consumption, Canada, U.S. In terms of illness, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Yersinia cases 100,000 population, while Escherichia coli 0157:H7 cases. Foodborne data for Taiwan is not available comparison. prevalence Salmonella Campylobacter pigs U.S., Canadian swine. Pork-associated seems to be affected consumption level, pathogen pigs, hygiene at slaughter. Although pathogens highly prevalent American swine, due seem unrelated. It believed that lower tendency thorough cooking two countries may have influenced low rate pork-associated illness. Despite an increase last decade, a major source Canada.
