摘要: Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) has been applied to the morphological study of various microcapsule systems. In addition using standard preparation techniques for examination outer structure microcapsules, a new embedding and microtoming technique developed allow inner fractured capsules. The uses nonpolar resin, Lowicryl HM-20, which is compatible with shell material, does not introduce artifacts associated use epoxy resins. We demonstrate potential SEM as tool selection wall materials, core materials distribution in elucidating mechanisms capsule formation effects water-vapor uptake on properties.
