摘要: Analysis of spatiotemporal partitioning is pivotal to shed light on interspecific coexistence. Most research effort has involved large-sized carnivores and their prey, whereas little attention been devoted lagomorphs. We assessed overlap among the European brown hare Lepus europaeus its potential competitors predators through camera-trapping in an area Central Italy. estimated patterns activity rhythms hares, (the red fox Vulpes vulpes, pine marten Martes martes, domestic cat Felis catus, dog Canis familiaris), a competitor, roe deer Capreolus capreolus. Brown was studied natural conditions as well fenced that excluded terrestrial competitors. Free-ranging hares developed more nocturnal behavior avoid diurnal (i.e., martens). Although high temporal observed between free-ranging both foxes (82%) (81%), avoided by being active darkest nights, spatial partitioning. suggest may adapt
