摘要: Electric conductivity of conducting polymers has been steadily enhanced towards a level worthy being called its alias, “synthetic metal”. PEDOT:PSS (poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) doped with poly(styrene sulfonate)), as representative polymer, recently reached around 3,000 S cm−1, the value to open possibility replace transparent conductive oxides. The leading strategy drive increase is solvent annealing in which aqueous solution treated an assistant such DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide). In addition enhancement, we found that potential range tuned wider into negative direction by DMSO-annealing. Also, redox-active fraction charge carriers proposed be responsible for enhancement process.
