摘要: Mobile IPv4 has been considered as the de facto standard in providing Internet mobility. However, demand for wireless mobile devices capable of executing real-time applications increases, it is necessary to provide superior handoff latency and quality service (QoS). IPv6 designed resolve these issues, numerous applicable optimization techniques. Two ways reducing latency, both IPv6, have proposed literature. One aims reduce (home) network registration time while other lengthy address resolution when a visiting network. We present performance analysis current IETF proposals, namely, hierarchical architecture fast-handoff mechanism. The former aimed at later time. show through simulation that managing process fashion greatly reduces overall latency. Comparatively, mechanism even more simple superimposition two frameworks produces best result. improvement not aggregation individual gains. In fact, we discovered some rather non-trivial traffic behavior are combined. identify causes which hinder hence devise set design guidelines improve further.
