摘要: Staphylococcus epidermidis is an important causal agent of ovine mastitis. A literature search indicated a lack systematic studies agents the infection by using multi-locus sequence typing (MLST). The objectives were to analyse MLST-based data and evaluate antimicrobial resistance S. isolates from mastitis in Greece. database included 1593 46 countries: 1215 human, 195 environmental 134 animal origin, distributed into 949 types (STs) cumulatively with 450 alleles therein. Among isolates, bovine 36 different STs ones 15 STs. 33 Greece STs, 6 these (ST677, ST678, ST700, ST 709, ST710, ST711) assigned for first time; addition, 5 (65 arcC, 59 aroE, 56 57 gtr 48 tpiA) identified time. spanning tree nodes 14 edges (i.e., branches). 19 showed (tetracycline, penicillin, fucidic adic, erythromycin, clindamycin, cefoxitin). Resistance-related genes (tetK, tetT, msrA, tetM, tetS, ermC, mecA) detected. There was no association between agents. Isolates recovered more often flocks where hand-milking practised.
